What's Not Included in Base Pricing?
While we like keeping things as simple as possible, we can't account for every possible scenario. Some of those scenarios or costs are outlined below.
- Inbound Freight & Transportationnot part of the per-unit rate. We coordinate LTL and full truckload inbound freight. Tell us where it ships from and how many pallets and we will confirm it with you.
- Low Quantities Per SKUWe price per unit, so we work best for sellers sending dozens (or more) of each product, not singles across a huge catalog. If you have lower quantities per SKU, we are happy to discuss on a call to see if we can accommodate.
- Non-Standard, Highly Complex, or Labor-Intensive Prepoversize, specialty packaging, or custom rework, quoted as a special project
- Inaccurate or Problematic Inboundse.g. wrong counts, unlabeled cartons, mixed pallets, excessive damage, dirty product, intensive rework, or unsafe pallets may require custom pricing
- Storage & Holding: for anything that can't get processed immediately
- Seller Account & Amazon Issues
- Bundling/Multipacks: +$0.50 each unit beyond the initial unit
- Bubble Bags: +$0.50–$0.95, varies depending on bag size
- Bubble Wrap: +$0.25–$0.35/ft when Bubble Bags aren't an option
- Heavy Products (5–20lbs+): Reach out for details due to labor
- Oversize: +$2 to base rate (Medium, Large, or Special Oversize custom quoted)
- Product Inserts: +$0.10 (Client Provided)
- Sticker Removal: +$0.75
- Outbound Pallet and Supplies: $20/each
- Storage: $1/Pallet/Day (Max: 54" tall, Standard US Pallet, 1,500 lbs)
- Product Boxes: Custom Rate, depends on Size/Quantity
- Custom Kitting: We can handle it, but requires custom quoting
- Complex Inspection: Price Varies Depending on Customer Needs

FBA Prep Pricing FAQ
How much does FBA prep cost at Marketplace Prep?
Standard FBA prep is billed per unit by monthly outbound US volume: Bronze is $1.50 per unit for 500 to 999 units a month, Silver is $1.25 for 1,000 to 2,999, and Gold is $0.75 for 3,000 to 9,999. Platinum, 10,000 units a month and up, starts at Gold rates with custom pricing available.
What is included in the per-unit rate?
Every tier includes the same 9 core services: basic inspection, receiving, FNSKU labeling, polybagging when needed, expiration date labels, defect logging, dunnage, box contents labels and shipment creation.
Is there a minimum volume?
The Bronze tier starts at 500 units a month. Because pricing is per unit, we work best for sellers sending dozens or more of each product. If you have lower quantities per SKU, we can talk it through on a call.
Do you charge for storage?
There are no storage fees while inventory is actively being prepped and shipped. Inventory that cannot be processed right away is stored at $1 per pallet per day.
What costs extra?
Common add-ons are bundling or multipacks at +$0.50 for each unit beyond the first, oversize at +$2 on the base rate, bubble bags at +$0.50 to $0.95, client-provided inserts at +$0.10, sticker removal at +$0.75, and outbound pallets and supplies at $20 each. Case forwarding is $5 per case when cases ship sealed. Custom kitting, complex inspection and special projects are quoted.
Is there a contract?
No. Billing is month-to-month with no annual contract, and your rate adjusts each month to your actual outbound US unit volume.
Do the same rates apply to Walmart WFS?
Yes. The same standard prep and rates cover inventory bound for Amazon FBA and Walmart WFS. TikTok Shop prep is available by arrangement, after we set up the workflow with you.
Can you give me an all-in total for my load?
Not from the page alone, and we would rather say so than guess. Your total depends on your SKU mix, case packs, how the freight arrives and any add-ons your products need. The worked examples above show the arithmetic with sample volumes. For your own number, send your SKU count, units per SKU and how the inventory ships to us, and we will confirm exact pricing.
Is inbound freight included?
No. Inbound freight and transportation are not part of base pricing. We coordinate LTL and full truckload freight for inbound loads, so tell us where the freight ships from and how many pallets, and we will confirm it with you.
How does billing work?
Prep is billed per unit at the tier your actual outbound US unit volume for the month lands in, and your rate adjusts each month as your volume changes. There is no annual contract. For DTC fulfillment, outbound shipping is billed per order from a prepaid balance; see fulfillment pricing.
