Keeping the prep step inside Texas, and what that is actually worth
An intrastate prep stop saves you a leg of freight and a time zone. It does not buy you an FC assignment, and a prep center that tells you otherwise is selling.
Texas is the largest interior freight market in the country and the sellers we work with are spread across all of it: Houston, San Antonio, Austin, El Paso, Lubbock, the Rio Grande Valley, and the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Our 8,750 sq ft facility sits in north Fort Worth at the junction of I-35W and the Texas 170 corridor, which is the spine most LTL and FTL carriers already run when they move freight between Texas metros and the Gulf ports. For a Texas seller that means the inbound truck usually stays inside the state, and a supplier shipment coming out of the Port of Houston or Laredo lands at a prep partner in your own time zone.
That intrastate position is worth more to a seller sourcing through Texas import lanes than a national prep address would be. Container freight clearing Laredo or Houston can route to Fort Worth as a single intrastate move, and our loading dock takes 53-foot semis and 40-foot containers with a forklift on site, so palletized and floor-loaded inbound both work. What it does not buy is control over Amazon. We do not decide how your shipment splits or which FC receives it. What we do control is the receiving, the prep accuracy, and the shipment plan, which our software builds and executes straight out of Seller Central, and we keep you current on all three in a dedicated WhatsApp group rather than a ticket queue.
Getting inventory to us from anywhere in Texas
Four ways Texas inventory reaches our floor, and what each one asks of you.
Parcel
UPS, FedEx, and USPS deliveries need no appointment, from any metro in the state. The boxes enter receiving as they land.
Pallet and LTL
Scheduled appointment required. Book the window with us before the carrier dispatches. Our loading dock is accessible to 53-foot semis and 40-foot containers with a forklift on site, so palletized and floor-loaded freight both work.
Import freight on Texas lanes
Container freight clearing Laredo or the Port of Houston can route to us as a single intrastate move, consigned straight onto our floor. We do not handle customs clearance, but once goods are released and moving domestically we can receive and prep them.
Outbound to Amazon
We book Amazon Freight through the Amazon Freight portal, coordinate LTL, generate the BOL, and schedule carrier pickup from our Fort Worth facility. Receiving and the freight leg sit with one team.
Who this is built for
We are built for sellers who have outgrown prepping in house and need the work to be right rather than nearby.
A fit
- Texas brands shipping 3,000+ units a month through private label, wholesale, or brand-exclusive sourcing.
- Importers routing container volume through Laredo or the Port of Houston who need it broken down and prepped in state.
- Private label brands that want custom packaging, inserts, kitting, and quality assurance handled on the same floor as the FBA prep.
- Sellers running Shopify, WooCommerce, or Amazon merchant-fulfilled orders alongside FBA who can integrate with ShipHero.
Questions Texas sellers ask
Where is your Amazon FBA prep service located in Texas?
Marketplace Prep operates from 1925 Golden Heights Rd, Suite 200, Fort Worth, TX 76177, in the north Fort Worth section of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. We serve Amazon sellers across Texas, including the DFW metro, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, and the Rio Grande Valley, receiving inventory by parcel and by appointment-based freight.
Can sellers from other Texas metros ship inventory to your facility?
Yes. Texas sellers shipping from Houston, San Antonio, Austin, El Paso, and the Valley send inventory to our Fort Worth facility by parcel or freight. Parcel deliveries from UPS, FedEx, and USPS need no appointment. Pallet and LTL deliveries require a scheduled appointment, and our loading dock handles 53-foot semis and 40-foot containers with a forklift on site.
What is the minimum volume to work with Marketplace Prep?
Our hard floor is 500 units per month for FBA prep. The 500 to 3,000 range is reviewed case by case, and sellers shipping 3,000 or more units per month are our ideal fit. We work with active sellers who understand FBA shipment plans and FNSKU labeling, sourcing through private label, wholesale, or brand-exclusive models.
How does Marketplace Prep price its FBA prep service?
Standard prep is billed at the published per-unit volume tiers on our prep pricing page, with every standard step included. Handling that falls outside standard prep is quoted for your catalog. To get a quote for that work, schedule a call so we can review your volume and specs.
What turnaround time can I expect for my shipments?
Lead times are scoped per engagement and documented in your service agreement, because the prep work, the receiving window, the shipment plan, and the carrier leg are independent steps. We do not publish blanket turnaround promises we cannot honor across every catalog. We tell you what is realistic for your inventory and keep you updated through your WhatsApp group.
Which Amazon FBA prep services do you offer?
FBA Prep includes FNSKU labeling, poly-bagging, bubble wrapping, inspection, bundling and kitting, case forwarding, and FBA shipment plan execution from Seller Central with Amazon case-pack compliance. We also offer Wholesale Prep, Private Label Prep, DTC Fulfillment on ShipHero, and Freight Booking through Amazon Freight.
Do you handle Amazon inbound freight booking for Texas sellers?
Yes. We book Amazon Freight through the Amazon Freight portal, coordinate LTL, generate the BOL, and schedule carrier pickup. Pickup runs from our Fort Worth facility, so your prepped inventory and the freight leg into Amazon are coordinated together rather than handed off between separate vendors.
What types of sellers is Marketplace Prep built for?
We are built for established Amazon sellers and growing brands who have outgrown prepping in house, typically shipping 3,000 or more units a month through private label, wholesale, or brand-exclusive sourcing.
