Why an Austin multichannel brand ships once, not twice

Two channels usually means two inbounds, two counts, and two places your stock can be wrong. A brand running FBA and DTC out of Austin can send one receipt and have it split here.

Austin has become one of the highest-density consumer brand markets in the country, and the sellers here are rarely single-channel. Private label founders, DTC-first brands moving into FBA, and aggregator portfolio companies all run inventory out of the metro, usually across more than one channel at once. Our facility at 1925 Golden Heights Rd, Suite 200 is in north Fort Worth, north on I-35, which is the primary freight artery between central Texas and the DFW market, so an Austin inbound moves on a lane your carriers already run.

The lane is the easy part. What matters is what happens when the pallet lands. We receive once and then split it: FBA units get FNSKU labeling, poly-bagging, and Amazon case-pack compliance, with the shipment plan built and executed by our software straight out of Seller Central, and DTC units go into ShipHero with your bundle and virtual kit logic already configured. Marketplace Prep was built by a seller who ran 6,000+ SKUs and more than 200,000 units on Amazon, so bundle specs and prep categories are documented at onboarding rather than re-decided each run. Every account gets a dedicated WhatsApp group, so you can ask where a kit build stands without opening a ticket.

Getting your inventory from Austin onto our floor

Four ways Austin inventory reaches us, and what each one asks of you.

Parcel

UPS, FedEx, and USPS deliveries need no appointment. Ship from an Austin unit or direct from a supplier and the boxes enter receiving as they land.

Pallet and LTL on I-35

Scheduled appointment required. Book the window with us before the carrier dispatches, so a truck is not sitting at the door without a slot. Our loading dock is accessible to 53-foot semis and 40-foot containers with a forklift on site.

One receipt, two channels

Multichannel brands send a single inbound and we split it on arrival: FBA units into prep and shipment execution, DTC units into ShipHero. Bundle and kit specs are documented at onboarding so the split runs the same way every time.

Outbound to Amazon

We book Amazon Freight through the Amazon Freight portal, coordinate LTL, generate the BOL, and schedule carrier pickup from our Fort Worth facility. You are not chasing carriers from Austin.

Who this is built for

Austin brands tend to arrive operationally complex: more SKUs, more channels, more packaging rules. That is the seller this floor is set up for.

A fit

  • Austin and central Texas brands shipping 3,000+ units a month who have outgrown prepping in a leased unit.
  • Multichannel operators running FBA and DTC at the same time who want both handled on one floor.
  • Private label brands that want custom packaging, inserts, kitting, and quality assurance handled on the same floor as the FBA prep.
  • Sellers running Shopify, WooCommerce, or Amazon merchant-fulfilled orders alongside FBA who can integrate with ShipHero.

Questions Austin sellers ask

Where is Marketplace Prep located relative to Austin?

Our facility is at 1925 Golden Heights Rd, Suite 200, Fort Worth, TX 76177, north of Austin via I-35. We sit at the northern end of the central Texas freight corridor, close to the Amazon FC cluster in Fort Worth and Dallas.

How do Austin sellers ship inventory to your facility?

Most Austin clients use LTL freight on the I-35 corridor or parcel carriers for smaller inbounds. Pallet and LTL deliveries require an appointment booked in advance. Receiving runs 9 AM to 3 PM CST, Monday through Friday. The facility is accessible to 53-foot semis and 40-foot containers.

Do you handle complex Austin brands with multiple SKUs and channels?

Yes. We are built for operational complexity: multichannel brands running FBA and DTC simultaneously, private label operations with custom packaging and insert requirements, and kitting or subscription assembly. We document the workflow at onboarding and execute it consistently.

What volume do I need to qualify?

The FBA prep floor is 500 units per month. Sellers in the 500 to 3,000 range are evaluated case by case, and 3,000+ units per month is our core fit. For DTC fulfillment, most brands we run ship a few hundred to a few thousand orders a month.

How does FBA shipment plan execution work?

We build and execute FBA shipment plans through our own software, reading straight from Seller Central, covering FNSKU labeling, poly-bagging, bundling, inspection, and Amazon case-pack compliance. Everything is matched to live plan data before inventory leaves our floor.

What are your turnaround times?

We do not publish blanket turnaround times. Lead times depend on volume, SKU complexity, and prep involved, and we scope them per engagement in your service agreement.

How does pricing work?

Standard prep is billed at the published per-unit volume tiers on our prep pricing page, with every standard step included. Kitting, specialty work, and problem inbounds are quoted after we understand your SKU mix. Schedule a call and we will walk through your operation.

Prepping out of Austin? Let’s scope it.

We do not make blanket promises and we do not quote before we understand the work. Tell us your SKU mix, your volume, and how your inventory arrives, and we will scope it against what you actually ship.
