Why an Arlington seller should not shop on proximity
Proximity is not a routing promise, and we will not sell it as one. What a short leg buys an Arlington brand is a prep floor inside the same metro, run by people who tell you the truth about your inventory.
Arlington sits between Fort Worth and Dallas at the geographic center of the metroplex, anchored by I-30, SH-360, and the entertainment corridor, with most of its industrial and warehousing activity in the southeastern and western parts of the city. Our facility at 1925 Golden Heights Rd, Suite 200 is in the north Fort Worth industrial zone, off I-35W near Alliance. For an Arlington brand that is a same-metro trip rather than a freight project, though most Arlington sellers never make the drive at all.
What proximity does not do is decide where your units land. Amazon controls how inbound shipments are split and which fulfillment centers receive them, so we do not trade proximity for accuracy. Marketplace Prep was built by a seller who ran 6,000+ SKUs and more than 200,000 units on Amazon, so FBA rules are operational knowledge here rather than a help article. Our software builds and executes your shipment plan straight out of Seller Central, and your account gets a dedicated WhatsApp group, so you can ask what is happening with a pallet without opening a ticket.
Getting your inventory from Arlington onto our floor
Four ways inventory gets from Arlington onto our floor, and what each one asks of you.
Parcel
UPS, FedEx, and USPS deliveries need no appointment. Ship from an Arlington home base or a leased unit and the boxes enter receiving as they land.
Pallet and LTL
Scheduled appointment required. Book the window with us before the carrier dispatches, so a truck is not sitting at the door without a slot. This is the lane for wholesale cases and private label production arriving direct from a supplier. Our loading dock takes 53 foot semis and 40 foot containers.
Driving it up yourself
Our client-facing receiving window is 9 AM to 3 PM CST, Monday through Friday. Most Arlington sellers never make the drive, but the door is open inside that window.
Outbound to Amazon
We book Amazon Freight through the Amazon Freight portal, coordinate LTL, generate the BOL, and schedule carrier pickup from our Fort Worth facility, so you are not chasing carriers from Arlington.
Who this is built for
Arlington sits at the center of the metroplex, and a lot of the sellers we talk to here started in a spare room and now move real volume. That is the seller this floor is set up for.
A fit
- Arlington and east Tarrant County brands shipping 3,000+ units a month who have outgrown prepping out of a garage or a small leased unit.
- Wholesale sellers moving case-pack inventory, which has grown here since Amazon ended its own prep service.
- Private label brands that want custom packaging, inserts, kitting, and quality assurance handled on the same floor as the FBA prep.
- Sellers running Shopify, WooCommerce, or Amazon merchant-fulfilled orders alongside FBA who can integrate with ShipHero.
Questions Arlington sellers ask
Where is Marketplace Prep located relative to Arlington?
Our facility is at 1925 Golden Heights Rd, Suite 200, Fort Worth, TX 76177, in north Fort Worth off I-35W. From Arlington the route is I-30 west, then I-35W north, though most Arlington inventory reaches us by parcel or appointed LTL. We sit in the north Fort Worth industrial zone.
Can I drop off inventory from Arlington myself?
Yes. Parcel deliveries by UPS, FedEx, or USPS need no appointment. For pallet or LTL freight, including in-person drop-off by box truck or trailer, an appointment is required. Receiving runs 9 AM to 3 PM CST, Monday through Friday. The facility is accessible to 53 foot semis and 40 foot containers.
What volume do I need to work with Marketplace Prep?
The FBA prep floor is 500 units per month. Sellers in the 500 to 3,000 range are evaluated case by case; 3,000+ units per month is our core fit. For DTC fulfillment, most brands we run ship roughly a few hundred to a few thousand orders a month.
Does your location decide which Amazon fulfillment center my inventory goes to?
No. Amazon operates fulfillment centers on both the Fort Worth and the Dallas sides of the metroplex, and Amazon decides which of them receives your shipment and how a plan is split. No prep center’s address changes that, so we treat the cluster as regional context rather than a routing claim.
How does FBA shipment plan execution work?
Our software builds and executes your FBA shipment plans straight from Seller Central, covering FNSKU labeling, poly-bagging, bundling, inspection, and Amazon case-pack compliance matched to live plan data before inventory leaves our floor.
What are your turnaround times?
We do not publish blanket turnaround times. Lead times depend on volume, SKU complexity, and the prep involved, and are scoped per engagement in your service agreement.
How does pricing work?
Standard prep is billed at the published per-unit volume tiers on our prep pricing page, with every standard step included. Kitting, specialty work, and problem inbounds are quoted after we understand your SKU mix.
