Plano is laid out north to south, and your FBA freight has to go west
Plano runs on operators. What an operator needs from a prep center is not another building, it is a floor that runs on your Seller Central shipment plan and tells you what actually arrived.
Plano sits in southwest Collin County, bracketed by the Dallas North Tollway on its west side and US-75 on its east, with the Sam Rayburn Tollway running along the northern edge of the city. The roads a Plano brand lives on run north and south. The road to our floor runs west. Our facility at 1925 Golden Heights Rd, Suite 200 is in far north Fort Worth near Alliance, west of Plano, and most Plano inventory reaches us west on the SH-121 and SH-114 corridor toward I-35W rather than south into Dallas and back out again. If you are receiving wholesale cases or private label production into a Plano home base or a leased flex bay, that inventory reaches us by parcel or by appointed LTL on one westbound run.
Getting it here is the easy part. At 3,000 units a month and up, the FNSKU labeling, the case-pack compliance, and the shipment plans take the hours that should go to buying and selling. Marketplace Prep was built by a seller who ran 6,000+ SKUs and more than 200,000 units on Amazon, so FBA rules are operational knowledge here rather than a help article. Our software builds and executes your shipment plan straight out of Seller Central, and your account gets a dedicated WhatsApp group, so you can ask what is happening with a pallet without opening a ticket. We work private label, wholesale, and brand-exclusive inventory.
Getting your inventory from Plano onto our floor
Four ways inventory gets from Plano onto our floor, and what each one asks of you.
Parcel
UPS, FedEx, and USPS deliveries need no appointment. Ship from a Plano home base or a leased unit and the boxes enter receiving as they land.
Pallet and LTL
Scheduled appointment required. Book the window with us before the carrier dispatches, so a truck is not sitting at the door without a slot. This is the lane for wholesale cases and private label production arriving direct from a supplier.
Driving it up yourself
Our client-facing receiving window is 9 AM to 3 PM CST, Monday through Friday. Most Plano sellers never make the drive, but the door is open inside that window.
Outbound to Amazon
We book Amazon Freight through the Amazon Freight portal, coordinate LTL, generate the BOL, and schedule carrier pickup from our Fort Worth facility, so you are not chasing carriers from Plano.
Who this is built for
Plano runs on operators who started deliberate and stayed that way, and who are now past the point where prepping in a leased flex bay makes sense.
A fit
- Plano and north Dallas brands shipping 3,000+ units a month who have outgrown prepping out of a garage or a leased flex bay.
- Wholesale sellers moving case-pack inventory, which has grown here since Amazon ended its own prep service.
- Private label brands that want custom packaging, inserts, kitting, and quality assurance handled on the same floor as the FBA prep.
- Sellers running Shopify, WooCommerce, or Amazon merchant-fulfilled orders alongside FBA who can integrate with ShipHero.
Questions Plano sellers ask
Where is Marketplace Prep located relative to Plano, TX?
Our facility is at 1925 Golden Heights Rd, Suite 200, Fort Worth, TX 76177, in far north Fort Worth near the Alliance area. Most Plano sellers route inventory west on the SH-121 and SH-114 corridor toward I-35W. You do not need to drop off in person; the majority of our Plano clients send inventory by parcel carrier or by appointed LTL pickup.
Can I drop off inventory from Plano, or do I have to ship it?
Both work. You can ship inventory to us by parcel through UPS, FedEx, or USPS with no appointment required, or arrange an appointed pallet or LTL delivery. If you prefer to drive it up from Plano yourself, our client-facing receiving window is 9 AM to 3 PM CST, Monday through Friday. Pallet and LTL deliveries require a scheduled appointment.
Can you give me a quick quote?
For standard prep, yes: the per-unit tiers are published on our prep pricing page, and every standard step is included. Kitting, specialty packaging, or problem inbounds need a look at your mix and how the inventory arrives first, so a scoping call gets you a real figure for that work.
How big can an inbound box be?
Thirty-six inches on the longest side, 25 on each of the others, and 50 pounds. The length moved up from 25 inches in June 2025 and a lot of published guidance still has the old figure, so it is worth checking anything you are working from. Width and height did not move. A single unit longer than 36 inches can go oversize, up to 65 pounds.
What happens with heavy units?
There are two thresholds and they are not alternatives. A single item over 50 pounds needs Team Lift labeling; over 100 pounds, Mechanical Lift replaces it. Either way the label goes on the top and all four sides, five in total, and Amazon does not supply them, so they are generated as part of the prep. Oversized items are handled too, at the published oversize add-on rate.
Do you declare box contents before or after packing?
Both, depending on how the shipment moves. Small parcel shipments pack first, with box contents supplied when the plan is built. Pallet and LTL shipments use pack later, because the contents are not genuinely known until the pallet is finished. Matching the choice to the lane is what keeps the plan and the physical freight agreeing.
How will I hear from you about my inventory?
WhatsApp, in a group created for your account at onboarding. Receiving confirmations, discrepancies, and the day-to-day questions all live there, because it is the channel that actually gets read during a working day. Email carries the formal items: service agreement, invoices, and BOLs.
Is there anything you will not prep?
We work with private label, wholesale, and brand-exclusive inventory. Some hazmat and specialty items are handled after review. Tell us what you sell and we will give you a straight answer on the call.
