A Richardson catalog is decided by its SKU mix, not by its mileage

The Telecom Corridor builds complicated catalogs: suffocation warnings on small electronics, fragile units, multi-pack bundles, case-pack math Amazon rejects if it is off by a unit. Mileage is not what breaks those shipments.

Richardson sits on the northeast side of the metroplex, where US-75 runs north through the Telecom Corridor and I-635 arcs west below it toward the airport. Our facility at 1925 Golden Heights Rd, Suite 200 is in far north Fort Worth near Alliance, and Richardson inventory reaches us on the same US-75 and I-635 lanes your inbound freight already runs, west past DFW International rather than through central Dallas. Whether you are receiving wholesale cases into a Telecom Corridor flex unit or private label production direct from a supplier, that inventory reaches us by parcel or by appointed LTL on a single westbound run.

The road is the easy part. At 3,000 units a month and up, the FNSKU labeling, the case-pack compliance, and the shipment plans take the hours that should go to buying and selling. Marketplace Prep was built by a seller who ran 6,000+ SKUs and more than 200,000 units on Amazon, so FBA rules are operational knowledge here rather than a help article. We document the per-SKU prep spec before the first shipment, our software builds and executes your shipment plan straight out of Seller Central, and your account gets a dedicated WhatsApp group, so you can ask what is happening with a pallet without opening a ticket.

Getting your inventory from Richardson onto our floor

Four ways inventory gets from Richardson onto our floor, and what each one asks of you.

Parcel

UPS, FedEx, and USPS deliveries need no appointment. Ship from a Richardson home base or a leased unit and the boxes enter receiving as they land.

Pallet and LTL

Scheduled appointment required. Book the window with us before the carrier dispatches, so a truck is not sitting at the door without a slot. This is the lane for wholesale cases and private label production arriving direct from a supplier.

Driving it up yourself

Our client-facing receiving window is 9 AM to 3 PM CST, Monday through Friday. Most Richardson sellers never make the drive, but the door is open inside that window.

Outbound to Amazon

We book Amazon Freight through the Amazon Freight portal, coordinate LTL, generate the BOL, and schedule carrier pickup from our Fort Worth facility, so you are not chasing carriers from Richardson.

Who this is built for

Richardson’s seller base came out of electronics, components, and north Dallas tech, and those catalogs carry real prep complexity. That is the seller this floor is set up for.

A fit

  • Richardson and north Dallas brands shipping 3,000+ units a month who have outgrown prepping out of a garage or a leased unit.
  • Wholesale sellers moving case-pack inventory, which has grown here since Amazon ended its own prep service.
  • Private label brands that want custom packaging, inserts, kitting, and quality assurance handled on the same floor as the FBA prep.
  • Sellers running Shopify, WooCommerce, or Amazon merchant-fulfilled orders alongside FBA who can integrate with ShipHero.

Questions Richardson sellers ask

Where is Marketplace Prep located relative to Richardson, TX?

Our facility is at 1925 Golden Heights Rd, Suite 200, Fort Worth, TX 76177, in far north Fort Worth near the Alliance area. Most Richardson sellers route inventory west on the US-75 and I-635 corridors, past DFW International rather than through central Dallas. You do not need to drop off in person; the majority of our Richardson clients send inventory by parcel carrier or by appointed LTL pickup.

Can I drop off inventory from Richardson, or do I have to ship it?

Both work. You can ship inventory to us by parcel through UPS, FedEx, or USPS with no appointment required, or arrange an appointed pallet or LTL delivery. If you prefer to drive it up from Richardson yourself, our client-facing receiving window is 9 AM to 3 PM CST, Monday through Friday. Pallet and LTL deliveries require a scheduled appointment.

What volume is this built for?

We are built for sellers moving 3,000 or more units a month, which is where the work makes sense on both sides. There is a floor of 500 units a month, and between 500 and 3,000 we look at it case by case, because at that size SKU complexity tells us more than the unit count does. Below the floor with no growth behind it, we are not the right call.

Can you build case packs for me, or do they have to arrive that way?

We build them. A case we assemble here is declared case-packed in the shipment plan exactly like a sealed manufacturer case, so inventory that turns up loose or in mixed cartons is not a problem. The constraints sit inside the case: one SKU, one condition, the same unit count in every case in the shipment, and 150 units per case as the ceiling.

What are your poly-bagging rules?

Bags run 1.5 mil or thicker and must not protrude more than 3 inches past the product’s own dimensions. The barcode is either-or: readable through a transparent bag, or on a label applied to the outside. A suffocation warning is required once the bag opening measures 5 inches or more laid flat, and the print size scales with the bag’s length plus width.

What does DTC fulfillment require on my side?

A channel that connects to ShipHero, which in practice means Shopify, WooCommerce, or another supported integration; that part is not optional at any real volume. Orders are counted rather than units on this side, so the 500-unit FBA floor does not apply to it. Merchant-fulfilled Amazon orders are in scope alongside your own store’s.

Who do I talk to when something looks wrong on a shipment?

The same group you already have open. Each account gets its own WhatsApp thread at onboarding, and a discrepancy on a receipt gets raised there with the counts attached rather than disappearing into a ticket queue. Formal paperwork moves by email so there is a clean record.

What turnaround can you commit to?

Whatever we scope into your agreement, and nothing blanket. We do not publish a standing turnaround promise, because the honest answer depends on your volume, your SKU complexity, and what the prep actually involves. We would rather commit to a timeline we can hold than quote a number that looks good on a page.

Prepping out of Richardson? Let’s scope it.

We do not make blanket promises and we do not quote before we understand the work. Tell us your SKU mix, your volume, and how your inventory arrives, and we will scope it against what you actually ship.
